Hotsy Totsy was born eight years ago from a shared dream between three friends who wanted to bring a true speakeasy to the heart of Budapest. Inspired by the charm of the 1920s and the art of classic cocktails, they set out to create a space where quality drinks, great stories, and unforgettable nights come together.What started as a passion project quickly became a favorite hideout for locals and travelers alike.

The Kevin Kos at Hotsy Totsy Budapest guest shift is officially arriving this Wednesday, January 28th. As Hotsy Totsy continues its ascent on the global stage—currently ranked as the #267 bar in the world by the Top 500 Bars list—we are committed to bringing the industry’s most brilliant minds to the heart of District VII.
The workday is over, the streets loosen up, and the light turns warm just before it disappears. It’s not late enough to commit to the night, but it’s far too early to rush home. That in-between hour has always felt important to us — even if we didn’t immediately know what to do with it.
On December 29, Hungarian Basterds takes over the bar once again at Hotsy Totsy — our own event series celebrating outstanding Hungarian bartending talent, created by Hotsy Totsy and rooted firmly within our local scene.
On December 31, we open at 17:00 and let the night unfold naturally. Expect an energetic atmosphere, confident service, and the kind of crowd that makes Hotsy Totsy what it is — social, vibrant, and unmistakably alive.
